President
Shamonda Jones
Shamonda's 26-year railroad career began in Chicago before moving to Southern California, where she is currently a Sr. Manager of Dispatching at Metrolink. While fostering a culture of safety, Shamonda raises awareness of Railroad Opportunities for minorities and women. In doing so, Shamonda was the 1st Black Woman to receive the Burch Memorial Safety Award, which was presented to her by the National Association of Railroad Passengers at the US Capitol Building. She was featured in a video exhibit for the National Railroad Hall of Fame: Women in Metra: Behind the Scenes; and recently featured in "Metrolink Celebrates Women in Rail" video.

Along with being a dog mom, Shamonda loves to stay busy. Her cheery & optimistic personality showcased as an organizer of golf tournaments, weddings, and parties.

Vice President
Sandra Martinez
Sandra has been working at the Southern California Railroad Authority (SCRRA) for 26 years. During her years with SCRRA/Metrolink, Sandra has worked in Operations, Customer Service, and currently in the Communications Department as a Communications Supervisor. Sandra has received two "Push, Pull, and Propel!" Awards while working at Metrolink; and was featured on International Women's Day in a 2023 interview as part of the "Metrolink Celebrates Women in Rail" video series. Sandra served as SoCal NARBW's secretary during the chapter's inaugural year and currently serves on NARBW's National executive board as secretary. At the 2025 NARBW convention she received the distinguished title of National Women of the Year.
Sandra has a passion for supporting non - profit organizations and is currently volunteering with "Warrior for Children" where she was recently chosen as the 2024 Volunteer of the Year by this Organization. During her free time, Sandra enjoys visiting National Parks and being a Dog Mom.

Roxann Nunez
With 13 years at Metrolink and serving as an ATU steward since 2016, Roxann has brought experience and advocacy to her work. She holds a BA in Sociology from CSULB and an MPA from CSUN, combining her passion for social dynamics and public administration. Outside of work, she is an avid reader and loves traveling with friends and family. As a proud Disney adult, she has likely amassed more than her fair share of Disneyland popcorn buckets and Minnie Mouse ears—because magic is meant to be collected!
