Sandra Martinez, fondly known as "Sandy," is a respected rail professional whose 27-year career with Metrolink has been defined by exceptional customer service, leadership, and dedication. Throughout her career, she has earned the admiration of both colleagues and passengers through her professionalism, compassion, and commitment to excellence.

In 2023, Sandy's contributions were recognized when she was featured in Metrolink's International Women's Day video, highlighting her inspiring career journey and impact within the organization. Known for her wisdom, kindness, and willingness to help others, Sandy has become a trusted mentor and role model to many.

NARBW Service

As a founding member of NARBW SoCal, Sandy has been instrumental in the chapter's growth and success. Her leadership and service have touched nearly every aspect of the organization. During the past year alone, she served as National Revisions Chair, National Jewelry Chair, National Publications Committee Member, SoCal Scholarship Committee Member, SoCal Sergeant-at-Arms, SoCal Secretary, and SoCal Ways, Means & Charity Chair.

Sandy's dedication to NARBW extends far beyond her titles. Whether supporting chapter initiatives, mentoring members, organizing projects, or volunteering her time, she consistently demonstrates the values of service, leadership, and sisterhood that define NARBW.

Community Leadership

Sandy's generosity knows no bounds. In 2024, she was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for Warriors for Children for her extraordinary commitment to serving children and families in need. She played a key role in planning and supporting golf tournaments that raised nearly $38,000 over three years for charitable organizations and community causes.

Her volunteer efforts include serving as a NARBW elf aboard the Metrolink Holiday Express, dedicating two weeks of vacation time to wrapping Christmas gifts for Warriors for Children, distributing school supplies through Project Boon, and participating in Operation Community Cares by writing letters to deployed military personnel and assembling care packages for troops.

Even while recovering from a serious injury and major surgery, Sandy continued to volunteer, lead, and serve others with unwavering determination and grace.
